Acercamiento a la primera traducción italiana del Guzmán de Alfarache (Barezzi, Venecia, 1606 y 1615)
abstract
The Barezzo Barezzi’s translation of Guzmán de Alfarache (1606 and 1615) is one of the first versions in Europe, and that is the reason why it’s essential for the diffusion and the success of modern romanzo. Being less free and arbitrary than the versions of the Italian translator and publisher of the Lazarillo de Tormes (1622) and of the Pícara Justina (1624-1625), the Vita del Picaro Gusmano d’Alfarache (1606 and 1615) gains significance just because consists in a ‘linguistic training’ for his following translations.
