Chapter | El loco Amaro Rodríguez ¿trasunto del obispillo de San Nicolás?
Abstract
The Sermones of the loco Amaro are the eighteenth and free transcription of jokes of don José Amaro Rodríguez really fool of Sevilla who lived in this city in the second part of seventeenth century in the Hospital of The Santos Inocentes of San Marcos. In this work, we have tried to connect historiography’s documents to what we know about the folkloric and the student bishop festivity of Sevilla and other cities of Spain in seventeenth century with the satirical discourse and aggressive actuation of the fool.
